Music at Westfield is a popular subject where pupils are encouraged to take part in all music events, appreciate listening to music, and compose their own pieces reflecting their interests and lifestyle.
Performing is very much at the core of all music that is taught within school and is accessible to all students. Every child is given opportunities throughout the year to perform in public, to develop their creativity and to grow in confidence as individuals.
The facilitate performances and events, such as: cafe assemblies, Christmas concerts, end of year performances and many more. Children also have the opportunity to link with the local community, performing together on an intergenerational basis both in and outside of school.
