Here at Westfield, we are very proud to be a community school in all senses of the word. Our children are part of our school community and also part of local and wider global communities. We have chosen to undertake the Respecting Rights Award, sponsored by UNICEF, to help our students know and understand their rights. Our school has a three word phrase all the children know and use daily. This is, we are ‘ready, respectful and safe.’ These words are derived from the Articles of the Convention for the Rights of the Child .The children are learning about their rights as an individual but also individual’s rights in the wider world.
