A huge thanks to all parents and carers for their support with the spectacular variety of colourful costumes. The children all looked fantastic.

We know that reading is the key that unlocks all learning. The day was packed with fun, creative and engaging activities, all designed to celebrate books and share an enjoyment of reading.

The Reception children's visit to the library was a lovely event full of enthusiasm and excitement, and the KS1 costume parade was like something out of a magical fairy tale!

Elsewhere in the school, classes took part in online author events, created paper chains of reading recommendations, held special assemblies and designed their own book covers.

The children loved being able to choose their own book from our pop-up book stall, and have also been given a voucher to bring home for another World Book Day book. It would be great to hear which books they choose to spend their voucher on. After all - children choosing what to read is what this year's World Book Day is all about.
