Dear Parent and Carers

Due to the rising food costs, we will need to increase our meal price after the Easter holidays. We have always tried to keep our meal prices affordable to our families. The last price increase of 5p was in September 2020. Unfortunately, the current meal price is no longer covering these rising costs.

To ensure we can continue to fund a high-quality service that delivers healthy, nutritious meals, caters for all allergens and dietary requirements, and is served in a safe environment on our school premises, we will be increasing our meal price to £2.50 per day, £12.50 per week, from Monday 25th April.

Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 will still receive free school meals under the Universal Free School Meal scheme.

You may be entitled to apply for free school meals for your children if you receive one of the following income-related benefits:

  • Income Support
  • Income-based Job Seekers' Allowance
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • Child Tax Credit combined with both a household income below £16,190 per annum and not in receipt of any Working Tax Credit
  • Support under part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • Guarantee Element of state Pension Credit
  • Universal Credit, with annual household earnings of less than £7,400

If you require further information, please contact the school office who will be able to assist you in completing a free school meal eligibility check.

Kind regards

School Office
