We started our topic with an immersion day to think about what life would have been like in a Tudor school! We looked at Latin phrases and thought about which ones we might still use today. We learnt Calligraphy and wrote with quills and ink. Finally, we made hornbooks, similar to the ones the Tudors would have used.
We used the text - My Life as a Tudor Schoolboy. We found out that it was only the rich boys who got to go to school which we didn’t think was fair at all but then we learnt that if they didn’t behave then they would be whipped!
