We had a fantastic day celebrating VE Day in school. The children looked amazing dressed in their red, white and blue outfits and the corridors were adored with bunting, flags and balloons for the occasion.
Throughout the day, we enjoyed a special assembly, where we listened to Vera Lynn singing on a record player, and later learnt about wartime rationing and made our own flags to wave during our lively victory march around the playground. One of the highlights of the day was our outdoor picnic street party where laughter and music filled the air.
It was a wonderful way to remember such an important moment in history. Thank you to everyone who made the day so special.
