We were delighted to welcome The Lord Mayor of York to Westfield. As part of his commitment to visiting all schools across the city, the Lord Mayor spent the morning with us learning about our school community and talking to the children.
The children were absolutely fascinated by his ceremonial chains and had plenty of questions about his important role, special car, and his attire! A particular highlight of the visit was when some of our Early Years children presented The Lord Mayor with some new chains – a gesture that brought lots of smiles!
A huge thank you to The Lord Mayor for taking the time to meet us and learn more about Westfield. It was a memorable experience for everyone.
