What a fantastic day we had celebrating our love for books and stories! A huge thank you to all the families for the wonderful costumes – it was delightful to see the children’s favourite characters come to life.
The day was packed with reading and storytelling. We joined some fantastic online author sessions, participated in class story swaps, and talked about books – a lot! Our free pop-up book stall was a big hit and the children loved playing teacher costume eye-spy.
A special thank you to Mr. Lowman for organising such a brilliant day, and to the entire staff team for going all out with their costumes. We must give a special shoutout to our talented Year 6 group who captivated the younger children with their retelling of traditional tales. They were truly brilliant!
The Wicked Witch of Westfield (who also happens to be the queen of storytelling), Mrs. Douglas, also deserves high praise for captivating Key Stage 2 with her performance of an original tale which featured the each of the teacher’s characters.
