We hope you have all enjoyed the Easter break. As we gear up for an exciting term ahead, here’s a just a few of the highlights from the last couple of weeks:
Easter Bonnet Competition ![]()

We loved seeing the children proudly present their entries and were blown away by the incredible display of creativity. It was a tough decision for our judges from Co-op Funeralcare who selected entries to display in their Acomb and Heworth branches. Well done to everyone who took part.
Rocksteady Concert ![]()

Our second Rocksteady concert was a roaring success! Our four talented bands demonstrated confidence and growth since their last performance. A big thank you to Owen, our brilliant Rocksteady Music School band leader, for orchestrating another memorable show.
Harewood House ![]()
At the end of term, Year 5 and 6 enjoyed a sunny visit to Harewood House to conclude their World War II topic. They enjoyed exploring the house and grounds and discovering how it was used as a convalescent hospital. A huge thank you to the team at Harewood House for such an enjoyable two days - we will definitely be back!
Catering Awards ![]()
And finally, we must celebrate the achievements of our wonderful catering team. The team were semi-finalists in the North Yorkshire Council’s Awards in the Team of the Year category for their commitment to providing healthy and delicious meals for our children.
A further special congratulations to our Catering Manager, Sarah, who won the Above and Beyond award. Not only has she embraced the challenge of providing a school lunch for every child as part of the Free School Meals Pilot, Sarah also delivers regular cookery lessons for our children. A richly deserved award!
Congratulations to all![]()
