Year 5 Cafe Assemblies

This half term, we have been focusing on developing our oracy skills through our science topic on electricity. The children have been learning how to explain ideas clearly, work in groups, and use language with confidence. We would like to invite you into school to see how we use speaking and listening to support our learning.

Each class is holding a separate Café Assembly. These assemblies have been scheduled as follows:

Each assembly will last for approximately 45 minutes, and will be held in the KS2 Hall. During the session, the children will take part in a range of short group activities, including a demonstration of how we build and explain scientific sentences, as well as sharing other topic learning.

If you would like to join us, please complete the slip below and return it to school by Friday 28th November.

Key information:

- Younger siblings are welcome to join us

- Your child will still take part in the assembly even if you can’t join us

- Entry will be via the KS2 Hall door
